Introduction

In our last lesson, we learned the adjectives to describe what a product is (strong, efficient). Today, we focus on the verbs that describe what a machine does. Our topic is Describing Machines: Verbs and Functions.

Why is this essential for a future specialist?

As an engineer, you will write instructions, reports, and manuals. You need to tell the machine operator exactly how the machine works and what action it performs. For example, you cannot just say, "The machine makes a hole"; you need to say, "The machine drills a hole quickly and precisely." This lesson gives you the powerful verbs and descriptive adverbs to communicate these technical actions clearly and professionally.
