  1. Look around the classroom or your room. Can you find an object, like a chair or a pen? How do you think it was made? What kind of factory process or system was needed to make it?
  2. Why do you think safety is so important in a factory? What can happen if there is no focus on safety?
  3. An industrial engineer's goal is to improve efficiency and quality. Do you think it is possible to make things faster (efficiency) and better (quality) at the same time? Why or why not?
